On 3rd November 2019 I completed my first ever strongwoman competition. I came 8th in the firsts timers category, and yeah ok I didn’t win but I competed for the challenge not the trophy!
I set myself some goals for how many reps etc. In each event I smashed them and hit some PB’s while I was there – so all in all it was a positive experience, I have definitely found my sport in strongwoman – it has made me more confident and start to really be myself again!
So what next?
Well, I have a PB comp early December which will be great fun and then my next big comp will be in February – it will be a huge step up but I am really excited!
Definitely learnt my lessons from my first prep – what to do better, what not to do – and this time I will be training smarter and training harder and enjoying the process even more!
So hopefully this blog will become filled with my strongwoman journey as I progress through various competitions and my training!
Stay strong and believe in yourself!
Helen
